Missing Tenby? A Walk in Pictures with Artist Anna Waters

For anyone who has been missing Tenby…. here are a few photographs from a recent walk from Anna Waters. She says: “Not to worry. Tenby waits peacefully and unspoilt, for your return. X”

Anna is passionate about painting. She says of her work that she is not a slave to realism, but concerned more about capturing the essence of something: the movement of water, the light on the landscape and the smattering of detail that hurried eyes don’t see.

Inspired by her surroundings, she paints mainly in oil and acrylic, undertaking many commissions (more reasonably priced than you would think – just ask).

Anna told us that around late afternoon, the whole of Tenby Harbour can be seen in the pools when the tide is out. “I’ve always loved that,” she says.

Anna’s original artwork and limited-edition prints can be purchased directly from her at Pure Art, Milford Marina, and Rembrandt Jewellers ,Tenby, .

Thank you, Anna. We are of course hoping to see some of these images inspiring some beautiful paintings some time soon. Watch this space.

Kitty knows that she will always be an incomer, but this is to be her sixth summers. The wet and grey days of winters have not diminished her love of Pembrokeshire, but she is always grateful for the golden light of spring and summer. Her love of the sea sustains her even through the darkest of days and she can often be found at high tide bobbing about in Fishguard harbour at high tide, often with seals in attendance. When not freezing in water she is usually at her computer. She says" Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
