PLANED Names New Chair for its Board of Trustees
PLANED is a community-led partnership established as a social enterprise, a Development Trust, a charity, and a company limited by guarantee, with its board members being representatives from communities and from the public and private sectors.
It has worked in Pembrokeshire for over 30 years encouraging a community culture of enterprise, supporting people in harnessing their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm This is achieved through delivering locally tailored initiatives, which build on existing community strengths and empower local people, while ensuring effort in one area of development adds value to other areas.
PLANED is proud to be the home of the LEADER fund in Pembrokeshire.
It has sent this excellent news: after serving over 25 years, Barbara Priest has been welcomed by PLANED as its new chair of the board of trustees.
Having previously worked as a manager for the West Wales Training Enterprise Council, Barbara has developed training and enterprise programmes for adults. She brings a wealth of experience in key areas such as business development and enterprise, having worked with an array of businesses throughout Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire and with the Welsh Development Agency and Welsh Assembly.
Barbara said: “Having been on the board for a number of years, it’s a delight to be appointed chair and I very much look forward to working with PLANED in the future.”
