Help for Food and Drink Businesses

The Welsh Government is inviting food and drink businesses to attend an online seminar on “Building Business Resilience in Volatile Times”.

The hour-long webinar will take place on Tuesday 1 December at 2pm.

The Welsh Government’s invitation says: “As 2020 draws to a close, Welsh food and drink manufacturers are facing volatile conditions through the combined impacts of Covid-19, EU Exit and an unpredictable Christmas trading period.

“Join the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board and Food Skills Cymru at this year’s virtual Royal Welsh Winter Fair to hear what support is available to improve business resilience by managing risks in areas such as:

Supply chain management

Exporting to the EU

Trade with Ireland through supermarkets

Impacts of tariffs

Operational costs

Cashflow & working capital

“Chaired by Andy Richardson, chair of the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board, panelists include: David Morris, deputy head of Food Division at the Welsh Government; Professor David Lloyd, Food Industry Centre director at Cardiff Metropolitan University; and Linda Grant, executive director, BIC Innovation.”
