Heather Bennett’s Simply Stunning Images

Born in Southend, Heather Bennett has been a Pembrokeshire resident since 1995. Her home is a lovely old chapel in Solva which she shares with husband and artist Raul Speek. The chapel also serves as a gallery for their work and the work of other local artists.

The shop sells a range of items that include booklets of Heather’s work. In the spring, until the autumn, in normal times, the café she also runs is a meeting place for locals and tourists alike with regular tapas and live music events.
Growing up in west London, Heather inherited her love of photography from her father. Her subject matter is wide-ranging, from the capture of many of the glorious images Pembrokeshire abounds in, to images from her travels around the world and various other interesting projects .
Her website is a tribute to her versatility and her eye for a stirring image.

However, Heather isn’t only an accomplished photographer not afraid to experiment. She is also an accomplished writer. An honours graduate in English literature, she takes great pleasure in combining images and words and has written a number of articles and booklets.
She says of her work: “I try to share my own view of the journey we’re on: in landscape, in glimpses of people within this, and in objects that cut through the complexity to offer a simplicity I’ve come to believe we need.”

Please go to Heathers website to read some of her articles and to enjoy some of her work.
Heather takes commissions and many of her images are for sale.
