The Homeless Need Your Help

We are publishing the following appeal from AMANDA EVANS of Homeless Pembrokeshire. This charity does such good work for people in the county, often in dire straits. Can you help?

Sadly it has come to that time when we have had to ask for some help.

We are very low on the following:

Male and female toiletries such as deodorants, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, handwash, shaving gel.

Cleaning Items such as washing-up liquid, dishcloths, laundry detergent, toilet cleaner, multipurpose cleaner, kitchen rolls.

Baby toiletries such as shampoo, talc, baby wash, nappy bags, baby lotion, cotton wool.

New ladies’ knickers size 10-14 and socks and sanitary protection.

Long-life food items: dried foods, tinned vegetables, fish, tinned fruit, long-life milk, coffee, sugar, pasta sauces, tinned ham, chilli, breakfast cereals, long-life fruit juice, biscuits or cereal bars, Pot Noodles, soup, hot chocolate, jam, honey, Marmite, marmalade, pickles etc.

Sadly we are also in need of funds for assisting those who are in a fuel crisis situation, what we mean is funds for people who have used up their emergency credit.

If you would like to donate a pound or two please contact Amanda C Evans for Homeless Pembrokeshire bank details or you can donate via www.homelesspembrokeshire.org

If you want to drop any items off at the office, please contact me beforehand as the office is not always manned if we are out on outreach. Please do not leave anything on the pavement, the last thing we need is anyone tripping over or donations getting spoiled.

We never like asking for help because we are just as proud as those who come to us.

Thank you for reading and I know you will help if you can

Kitty Parsons

Kitty knows that she will always be an incomer, but this is to be her sixth summers. The wet and grey days of winters have not diminished her love of Pembrokeshire, but she is always grateful for the golden light of spring and summer. Her love of the sea sustains her even through the darkest of days and she can often be found at high tide bobbing about in Fishguard harbour at high tide, often with seals in attendance. When not freezing in water she is usually at her computer. She says" Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
