Poetry from Aline Page

Flight of fantasy, iridescent wings,

Fluttering, fanning out,

Floating high on warm azure blue currents,

Gracefully dipping, twirling and clipping soft fluffy clouds,

Delighted and suspended,

Joyously spreading out on coastal breezes.

Warm Memories

Crunching into a russet apple’s autumn goldenness,

Tang on tongue,

Juices mixing,

Melting in warm gorgeousness,

Stimulating a cascade,

a kaleidoscope palate of pleasing sensations,

a flooding feast of tastes and reminiscences,

Coloured dreaminess

Filling my brain with happy warmth and joy.

Aline Page is a reflexologist, complementary practitioner, and dance/artist who fell in love with Pembrokeshire’s wild, untamed beauty in her late teens, moved and has now lived here for 30 years. She says: “I’m inspired by stunning cliff walks, massive rugged rock slabs that vanish into pounding waves, beautiful beaches, vibrant hidden coves, myriad textures and colours, embracing bays, bracing winds and terrifying winter storms that cut us down to size, reminding us how vulnerable we are, how dependent on nature, and the importance of safe havens and a warm welcoming community.

Pembrokeshire is multi-layered, rugged and challenging on many levels and sometimes feels as close to island existence as you can get living on the mainland. It’s far away from suburbia and Disneyland, remaining relativity untamed, yet is inspirational to film directors, artists and photographers.”

Kitty Parsons

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."

Loved the poem about memories. I could instantly go back and taste the apples of childhood, fresh from the tree. Well done.
