A Pembrokeshire County Council cabinet meeting has approved 11 applications for “Enhancing Pembrokeshire ” grants totaling £208,672.
The Enhancing Pembrokeshire fund has raised over £2.6m from the Second Homes Council Tax Premium. The grant has now supported more than 150 projects.
Some of the newly successful projects include Dinas Cross Memorial Playing Field which will receive £44,605 to update play equipment; £27,810 will go to Saundersfoot Sailing Club to purchase new safety boats and equipment; and Saundersfoot Bowls Club will receive £11,184 towards a new mower.
The council is urging organisations and community groups to apply for the final round of Enhancing Pembrokeshire grants, as the deadline for applications is 22 November. The cabinet will meet in January next year to make its final decision.
