Have You Seen a UFO In Pembrokeshire?

Martin Schell contacted us after recently reading  a book  about UFO sightings in Pembrokeshire. It struck him that it wasn’t written by someone from the county and he was concerned about it’s credibility.

You might remember Martin and his book about growing up in Fishguard, which we featured in here and which so many of you enjoyed. He wanted us to know that he was keen to write something on the subject of UFO sightings in Pembrokeshire himself.

He tells us that he has been interested in the subject of UFOs since he says he very clearly saw one in Pembrokeshire in August, 1978. He is asking for your help in his research.

Martin is looking for genuine stories about UFO sightings/encounters for his new book on the subject. Ideally these will have taken place in Pembrokeshire, but he would also be interested in similar encounters from Ceredigion or Carmarthenshire.

It doesn’t matter what era your encounter took place, but an accurate description of what you saw is important, such as (but not limited to) the following:

What did you see/experience?

What was the approximate date and location of the sightings/encounter?

How long the sighting/encounter last?

Was it day or night?

Was it in the north, south, east or west?

How old you were at the time?

How did it make you feel?

Were you alone or with someone else?

If something was ‘big’, would you compare it to a car, a bus, etc?

If something was tall, how tall was it?

If something was round, was it spherical like a ball or round and flat like a coin?

Have you ever told anyone previously (and why/why not?) and what response did you receive?

Would you like to remain anonymous in the book?

Martin intends to chronologically catalogue all of the stories he receives in the new book. He will ensure that if you have contributed you will receive a draft copy of your story for your approval before publication.

Unfortunately, no payment will be made for the stories which appear in the book, but you’ll have the satisfaction of getting your encounter off your chest and permanently having it on record and in print.

Please send your stories to Martin at the following email address:
