Relax Into Spring

Relax, petal soft opening,

Happiness floating, flooding

Synapses of the brain,

Joy again, Thank God!

Springing into Being!

Having laid low, dried out and blank,

Dankly bedded in slow-witted reluctant winter.

Revived, fresh, new dew,

Excited into existence,

Sniffing the air, alert

Curiosity curling, eddying, swirling,

Veiny vibrancy pulsing, tingly

Spreading with shivering moonlight.

Awed, wonderstruck, buoyed up

By a big, bounteous, beautiful

Pregnant full spring moon.

Serenity Arising

Arising bright new dawn

Hazily floods my interior.

Puffy tinted lids pry open,

Dazed, salty opaque eyes gaze

At floaty coloured voile and lace.

Erasing night terror, tear trace

Of hastening years, days gone.

No longer fear infused,

Queer distant rumblings,

Deeply felt,

Blindly hidden,

Subside beyond knowing.

Flowing scented waters cleanse,

Purifying past as serenity seeps in.

Carnivorous Carnival

Bones popping, cracking, clicking to vibrating drums,

Chomping through passages, alleys and streets,

Devouring and sucking carnival crowds

Into its darkening, gaudy, greedy maze.

Whipping up a frenzied storm,

Circulating, seeking to amaze,

Scare, stupefy and cleverly juggle

The hearts and souls of those who gaze,

Soaking up the ‘splendour’ at its heady centre.

Kitty Parsons

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
