Lifeguards Back on Duty

Welcome back to the RNLI lifeguards who have returned to some of Pembrokeshire’s beaches. Available daily between 10am and 6pm until 4 September, they ensure the very best in safety for visitors and locals alike.

Offering great advice for safety, they say that anyone getting into difficulty in the water should try to remember to “float to live”. This involves trying not to panic, controlling your breathing and using arms and legs to help you stay afloat. Calling for help and/or trying to swim to safety  are the next steps. They also advise choosing beaches patrolled by the lifeguards, and coming well prepared.

The following are the beaches where you will find lifeguards patrolling:

Saundersfoot, Tenby North, Tenby Castle, Freshwater West, Broad Haven, Newgale South, Newgale Central, Newgale North, Newport Sands and Poppit Sands.

She spends her time searching out stories for, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says " has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
