Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society’s Student Bursary Award 2023 is open for applications from those with their family home in  Pembrokeshire.

Last year Rebecca Roberts from Camrose, Haverfordwest, won the award while working on a beef and sheep farm. Studying at Harper Adams University between 2019 and 2021, she has now gone on to  Harper & Keele Veterinary School.

The bursary worth £1,000 is available  in 2023 to all qualifying students studying agriculture, agricultural engineering, food technology, veterinary science, forestry or other subjects connected with agriculture. It will be tax-free and will be awarded to the student who, the judging panel decides, has the best dissertation on how the bursary will help them to complete their studies.

To qualify, a student must be studying or about to begin a course in an agriculture or related subject. They may study at any UK college or university at A-level or higher but their family home will be in Pembrokeshire. They must submit a dissertation of 1,000 words entitled ‘How the bursary will assist my career progression’.
