Crisis at St Davids Surgery

St Davids medical practice is facing a potential crisis. The surgery’s GP is leaving in October and local people are concerned that the surgery will close and that patients will be expected to register at other practices in Solva, Haverfordwest or Fishguard.

St Davids City Council has been discussing a motion to support Save The St Davids Surgery Campaign and to establish St Davids City Council’s commitment to do everything possible to try to keep the practice open. The meeting was attended by more than 150 local people.

The city council has printed a bilingual leaflet which advises residents to come to a health board drop-in consultation to take place at City Hall on Friday 14 June from 2pm to 7pm.

Other options for patients at the St Davids surgery are as follows;

  • Complete a questionnaire available at the St Davids surgery
  • Call 0300 303 8322 and selecting option 5 for ‘other services’
  • Email ask.hdd@wales.nhs.uk.
  • Provide feedback to Llais, the patient voice organisations for Wales: Llais Wales | LLais
