Please don’t panic if you see bees in an unexpected place like this. We know it looks alarming if you step outside and the little fuzzies have attached themselves en masse to your car or garden chair or favourite shrub, but the advice is clear.
Don’t move them, don’t poison them, don’t kill them…
Experts say that this is just bees travelling and they will have moved on within 24 hours, so don’t disturb them and avoid getting close.
You can of course make their journey more comfortable by offering some refreshments, such as a plate or flat container with a light layer of sugar water. This will help them build energy to be on their way.
Bees are in need of our protection, and we need them too, so leaving travelling swarms alone is essential.
