Jac Is the Golden Winner
Llwyddiant Euraidd Jac!
Mae’r aros drosodd o’r diwedd! Mae’n bleser gan Theatr Torch gyhoeddi mai Jac, disgybl 11 oed o Ysgol Uwchradd Hwlffordd, yw enillydd y gystadleuaeth dylunio Gwrthrych Aur ar gyfer pantomeim ysblennydd Jack and the Beanstalk eleni. Gwahoddwyd pobl ifanc o bob rhan o orllewin Cymru i ddylunio gwrthrych amhrisiadwy gwych na ellid ond dod o hyd iddo yn Ystafell Aur y Cawr. Gyda dros 150 o geisiadau ar draws pob ystod oedran, Jac sydd wedi’i goroni’n enillydd euraidd.
Roedd y beirniaid wrth eu bodd gyda chynlluniau fel sanau drewllyd, cacennau caws bythol, esgidiau pêl-droed disglair a phili-pala pefriog, ond roedd cynllun Jac ar gyfer esgidiau croc aur anferthol droedfedd uwchlaw’r gweddill.
“Roeddwn i’n hapus iawn ac yn methu credu fy mod i wedi ennill. Rwy’n gyffrous i weld fy ‘sgidiau croc mewn maint mawr iawn! Mae gen i grocs ac roeddwn ni’n eu gwisgo pan oeddwn i’n meddwl beth allwn i ei greu. Roeddwn i’n meddwl y byddai’n ddoniol eu gweld mewn maint enfawr,” meddai Jac wrth ei fodd. “Rwy’n meddwl mai grym hud y crocs ddylai fod i guddio arogl traed drewllyd iawn, felly maen nhw bob amser yn arogli’n braf. Rwy’n mynd i’r pantomeim bob blwyddyn felly ni allaf aros i weld fy syniad ynddo.”
Bydd Jack and the Beanstalk yn ymddangos ar lwyfan Theatr Torch o ddydd Gwener 13 Rhag – ddydd Sul 29 Rhagfyr 2024 gyda pherfformiadau prynahwn a gyda’r hwyr. The Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, has announced that 11-year-old Haverfordwest High School pupil Jac is the winner of the Design a Golden Object competition for this year’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.
The theatre says: “Young people from across West Wales were invited to design a fantastic priceless object that could only be found in the Giant’s Golden Room. With 150 entries across all age ranges, Jac has been crowned the golden winner.
“The judges were delighted by designs such as stinky socks, everlasting cheesecakes, glittering football boots and sparkly butterflies, but Jac’s design for a giant golden Croc was a foot above the rest. The Torch Theatre caught up with the very worthy winner to see how it feels to be crowned the champ.
Jac said: “I was very happy and couldn’t believe I had won. I am excited to see my Croc in giant size. I have Crocs and I had them on when I was thinking what I could draw. I thought it would be funny to see it in a huge size.
“I think the Croc’s magic power should be to hide the smell of really smelly feet, so they always smell nice. I go to the pantomime every year so I can’t wait to see my idea in it.”
