A Shark Named Elvis

The Ocean Lab in Goodwick has a new guest in its aquarium. The baby shark, named Elvis, is a nursehound, also known as a catshark, and will be resident for the next few months before being released into the Bay.
Also well worth going to see are some developing spotted catsharks You will be able to see them over the summer in their egg cases. They are now growing their eyes and dorsal fins and are expected to hatch out at the end of this summer.

Another new guest, a female spider crab, is waiting on a name and the Ocean Lab would love to hear your ideas.
Recently other guests, a greater pipefish and a common blenny, have gone back to their homes in the harbour where their food supply is plentiful and they are expected to thrive.
Once replacement guests have been found for the aquarium, the European lobster and the conger eel will also go back into the wild, so the Lab urges you to come and say goodbye soon.
