A Place to Shelter

Who remembers that there was once a zoo at Pembroke Castle?

It has just been conditionally approved for the former owl garden to be turned into a visitor shelter by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The proposed building in woodland north of the castle was once a bird of prey visitor centre and zoo and has been closed since 2024.

The shelter will be a simple structure, screened by trees and offering space for visitors to shelter from the weather.
