A Poem for You.

Friends plaque

In the darkest corner of your heart or soul
where you have huddled for safety,
I wish for you an offered friendship.

Even if your heart has been broken into slivers so sharp you almost dare not move,
I wish for you the courage to slip your hand into a warm grasp
and know you have been met.

Let us not ask for perfection.

Let us know that love more precious than gold binds you back into a shimmering shape reflecting all that you are.

That gratitude for the moons glow,
or the shiver of silver beech leaves in the breeze,
Is a peace you can wrap about yourself,
Once your eyes have been opened.

I wish for you, a rest and an awaking into warmth,
More moments of companionship than solitude,
More kindnesses that stir remembrances of your glory,
No matter the emptiness you have believed for so long.

Sunset at Newgale

I wish for you a foothold on a hillside where the view opens out like a glorious dream before you.
A coming home to the loveliness of you,
That shines through your tears, and turns your scars to jewelled badges of honour .

My gift to you
Is my wish for you
That you come back to you
To the magnificence of you.

Nothing can compare with you.
