Beaches of Pembrokeshire : Penycwm.

Spread the love

Jim Saul’s favourite.

I used to write about gardens in Pembrokeshire, so I was a bit surprised to be asked to give a few words about my favourite Pembrokeshire beach for the Year of the Sea features! Hard to choose, but this is now my closest beach and the one I go down to very often in the evening. Penycwm wins at the moment!

Here are just a few evening pictures to show you why I love it there!

Editor – Penycwm beach can be reached from the north end of Newgale at low tide, from the coast path or via the old tramway track from the main road at the Penycwm junction (Limited parking). Also known as Pwll March this sand and rock beach, backed by sandstone, shale and conglomerate cliffs was formed where the Pen Y Cwm brook meets the sea.

Tell us about your favourite Pembrokeshire beach and you could win the Puffins print from Pembrokeshire Moments!
