Pembrokeshire’s best kept secret in the heart of St Brides Bay
Centred around the Victorian courtyard, Hilton Court’s stunning and scenic gardens are a delightful place to visit all year round. The tea-rooms and gardens may not be open in winter, but the yard and Gardeners Restaurant will be! Locally produced food, cooked from scratch is on offer at lunchtime and afternoon teas here are renowned for the wonderful array of cakes. Ice-cream is also on offer for those warm days and the court yard also has a gallery, pottery and gift shop to browse.
The Woodland tea-room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens, which lead down to large ponds and a tranquil woodland with paths to follow and enchanting woodland houses for children to play in.
An area for weddings and events has been created alongside the tropical solar dome. Yoga tots, retreats, kite-flying and pond-dipping are just a few of the special days held here. If you would like your wedding to take place in this idyllic setting you need to book well ahead – 2019 is already booked up! Hilton Court offers only a few dates each year and works with the bride and groom to ensure a really unique and evocative celebration. There is a campsite with luxury facilities that can be reserved for guests too.
Entry is free to the courtyard and restaurant with a £4 fee for adults to wander the gardens (£10 for a season ticket) and this venue is a fabulous gem and a total surprise if you just drive past on the main road from Haverfordwest to St Davids – take time to turn down the lane and discover this lovely place – you will not be disappointed!
