The Edge 2019.

The Edge V Festival Gwyl yr Ymyl Solfach 2019 was  a great success The  opening address was given by Baroness Eluned Morgan and led to a weekend of fun and frolics with an eclectic mix of musical performances.

From a  local group just aged 12 years, through to a Lady Gaga Tribute, it was all go, with performers coming from South Wales, Birmingham and further afield.

Ieuan Morris took himself off to record the event and has generously furnished Pembrokesire Online with some fabulous photographs that capture this exciting Pembrokeshire event.  You will find more on his Face Book page ‘iantomor photography’ or his website.

From the setting up of the festival  through the whole weekend he was hard at it, reporting with his images on the huge variety of entertainment from the music to informative talks from speakers about literature, architecture and Pembrokeshire.

The food outlets were  , as always, excellent with a variety of cuisine to suit all tastes and he reports that the Festival revellers really soaked up the atmosphere and the fabulous weather.

Before going off to relax after an intense 4 days, Ianto told us  “ I think the photos speak for themselves. There is an Edge website that may well provide you with further information.Taking photos at Edge festival 2019 was sheer enjoyment.”

SOME INFORMATION ABOUT IANTO:
“I was born in Pembrokeshire, having devoted forty five years to a career in Law in London and Cardiff. The spectacular and photogenic character of this coastline and my full time commitment to photography since retirement enables me to compose a visual form of Art which I hope will be aesthetically pleasing to others. Landscape and Seascape images taken against a backdrop of the unique light that this corner of the South West provides, together with the opportunity to capture the impromptu mood and personality of characters in Portraiture are what I set out to accomplish. A part of  the photography team with Pembrokeshire Online CIC, I have received commissions to photograph the annual Pembrokeshire County Show, The Edge Festival Solva, Picton Castle Craft Fair and am currently assigned by the Athena Picture Agency, Swansea.”

If you were at the Edge and did not spot yourself in these images have a look at Ianto’s website.

I was born in Pembrokeshire, and having devoted forty five years to a career in Law in London and Cardiff, I am now rekindling my appreciation of the photogenic character of this unique and beautiful county. My full time commitment to Photography enables me to compose and create a visual form of Art which I trust will be aesthetically pleasing to others. I have the positive advantage of having ready access to the Pembrokeshire Coastline as well as to the vibrance of the Capital City.
