Spot the Difference

A few weeks ago, while on an assignment to write about a journey in the footsteps of Odysseus, I found myself dozing on the beach near the main port on the Italian island of Ponza, said to be the island of Circe, the enchantress who turned men into swine.

When I woke, I felt that I too had been enchanted – and transported to Tenby. For when I looked across the bay, the neat, multi-coloured houses spread out beyond the boats made me think for a moment or two that I was once more in Pembrokeshire. There were even marauding seagulls to complete the likeness…

The illusion soon passed, but I thought others might enjoy noting the similarities between Tenby and Ponza, both pictured above. Presumably, you will be able to spot the difference…
