Want to now what is the most depressing day of the year? It’s reckoned to be today…
According to the experts (whoever they are) Blue Monday, the third Monday of January, is said to be the most depressing day of the year.
Blue Monday was established in 2005. The theory is that the winter weather, short daylight hours and the average number of days since last pay day all contribute to a feeling of negativity.
However, it’s not all bad news. Those in the travel industry will be pleased to hear that it’s a day that many choose to book holidays. It’s also an opportunity for light-hearted content to raise people’s spirits. In a professional community you could focus on positive topics such as taking time to plan professional development or celebrating your community members.
So it’s a dark day, but try to be bright…
