Pembrokeshire Women 2: Alice Cahill
Alice Cahill is the creator and designer of Alice’s Boutique. Alice gained her arts and design degree at Leeds then began working in the fashion industry.
Based in Tenby and Pembroke, Alice has been designing and creating her own collections for over 12 years, having set up her own successful business. As well as producing garments for day-to-day wear, she offers a bespoke service for something more special.
Taking part in lots of local fashion shows and events, as well exhibiting at the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham numerous times, Alice’s collections are known for creating a mixture of dynamic structure with traditional fabrics.
Her collection ‘Redemption’ is an anti-fast-fashion collection based on making luxurious and rich-feeling items in a classic look that will not date or age, to encourage people to think about buying fashionable items that are made to last. In ‘Redemption’, Alice addresses the importance of sustainability in fashion and our debt to the planet’s future. All the fabrics for this collection were produced in the UK, helping to promote a more environmentally friendly resource.
