Have Your Say on Council Budget

Pembrokeshire County Council is urging all of us to take part in its Budget 2023 – 24 Consultation.
It says: “Like all other councils in Wales, Pembrokeshire County Council continues to face budget pressures – especially in light of the cost-of-living crisis.”
Cllr Alec Cormack, cabinet member for finance, encouraged all those interested in how the council spends its funds to take part in the consultation. “It’s very important that we hear from as many people in Pembrokeshire as possible,” he said. “Like other councils, we are once again facing significant budget pressures, and understanding community and household priorities is vital in helping us to make the difficult choices necessary in setting the 2023-24 budget. We look forward to hearing from you.”
The consultation includes a range of proposals on service changes, fees and charges and council tax.

The closing date for responses is 6 January 2023.
Wellbeing Plan for Pembrokeshire 2023-2028
The Pembrokeshire Public Service Board (PSB) is also currently consulting on its draft Wellbeing Plan for Pembrokeshire 2023-2028
The draft plan contains proposed actions from the public sector partners, which form the PSB, aimed at helping to deliver the objectives agreed this summer:
+ Work with our communities to reduce inequalities and improve wellbeing
+ Promote and support initiatives to deliver decarbonisation, manage climate adaptation and tackle the nature emergency
+ Enable safe, connected, resourceful and diverse communities
+ Support growth, jobs and prosperity and enable the transition to a more sustainable and greener economy
