In Memory of a Much-Loved Community Leader

Fishguard Sea Cadets have unveiled a plaque and defibrillator outside their TS Skirmisher building in Lower Town. These are dedicated to Commanding Officer Lieutenant Chris Peake, a much-loved and respected community leader who died in May 2023.
Chris started his involvement with the Sea Cadets when he was 11 in 1981. He went on to becoming a volunteer aged 18 and then an officer.
The money originally intended for the the defibrillator was partly raised through a GoFundMe page set up by Chris’s son Aaron, but Irish Ferries which had been Chris’s employer donated the money.
The GoFundMe money raised will now be used to buy a boat for Fishguard Sea Cadets and will be named in Chris’s memory.
