Autumnal Beauty at Dyffryn Fernant

“Sunshine!” said Christina Shand, almost as an incantation to the heavens, as she stood in the midst of her amazing garden at Dyffryn Fernant. “That’s what we need.”

The sun was indeed shining for once. And even after one of the worst summers in memory, the colours of Christina’s garden were glowing.

These pictures attempt to capture the light and the beauty of Dyffryn Fernant as the seasons change once more.

The garden closes to the public at the end of this month but will be open again in April 2025.

Whether you visit this week or next spring, the garden is unmissable.
