World Autism Day

In 2007 the United Nations General Assembly designated 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day, a day of awareness and acceptance of the place of autistic people in society.
The theme for the day this year is “Light it up blue”. And people are being asked to wear blue from today for the month of April. We are also being asked to use this time to show solidarity and to find ways to help autistic people and their families feel less isolated.

You might also choose to use the symbol that most people associate with autism: the multicoloured, interlocking puzzle piece.
