Curry and Culture

An event at Solva Memorial Hall on Saturday 12 April promises an evening of curry and Indian dance.
The organisers say: “Aunusthan (a troupe of British/ Asian dancers) is an evening of classical work which takes the audience on a journey of abstracted relationships and powerful storytelling. The production was conceived with the intention of portraying the multi-faceted nature of kathak.”
Kathak is a classical Indian dance form rooted in both Hindu and Muslim tradition. Its origins are in northern India, and it is known for its intricate footwork, rhythmic virtuosity and storytelling through lyrical movements.
Solva Memorial Hall, 39 High Street, Haverfordwest, SA62 6TE, from 6.30pm. Tickets £17, £13 concessions; price includes full Indian meal (meat and veg options available)
