Celebrate Fishguard Harbour’s Rich History

Stena Line and South West Wales Connected Community Rail Partnership is hosting an event commemorating the history of Fishguard Harbour
Supported by Fishguard community-run heritage centre Ein Hanes, the event will take place on 18 October (12.30-4.30pm) focusing on the history of the railway and the port to the region.
The event is part of nationwide celebrations, marking 200 years of the modern railways. There will be talks from a variety of authors and historians. There will also be an opportunity for residents to share their own memories and experiences.A new exhibition will explore history, music and theatre, and there will be prizes for the best visitor costumes.
Thanks to funding from Transport for Wales and Great Western Railway, the event will be free. There will be stalls selling local products, including books, vintage sweets and other edibles.
A volunteer-run café will provide cakes and scones.
