Give Someone a Cwtch

Sandy Davies

Cwtch Post Box can be found in so many places now and has just arrived at NatWest Bank in Haverfordwest

How do you feel about taking part in this great project to alleviate loneliness and isolation?

“Draw a picture, write a few kind words, or make a card to help someone smile. It doesn’t have to be perfect,” says organiser Sandy Davies. “Your wobbly, handwritten letters and colourful drawings will go to someone who feels a bit lonely, or someone who needs a happy surprise or a cwtch.”

A cwtch is a hug or warm embrace.

If you are looking for inspiration, she suggests that you draw something that makes you happy, maybe a favourite animal, something you like to do, or write a poem.

Paper and pens are available where you find the Cwtch Post Boxes. Pop your message into the box knowing that your picture or words might travel to someone who feels lonely or needs a little cwtch.

You will find articles here with more information about the scheme.
