DARC Matters 18 – Signs of Protest

With missiles wending their way towards the US/UK’s Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean, anti-DARC protesters near Brawdy airfield no doubt felt it was timely this weekend to point out the potential danger of putting Pembrokeshire in some future firing line.

The US/UK proposal for a space radar station in the heart of the St Davids Peninsula has led thousands to sign a petition against the proposal.

The PARC Against DARC group has spearheaded opposition to the plan and has also brought members of the Senedd on board.

Now, as these pictures illustrate, local folk are making their feelings very clear.

From Iran to Diego Garcia is around 2,500 miles. From Iran to Brawdy is about the same…
