A Day to be Kind

28 April is the day to perform one act of kindness. Global Pay It Forward Day is a reminder of the value of even a small act of kindness.

We have all had little acts of kindness brighten our day, but we don’t always realise how much our own acts will brighten someone else’s day. Kindness makes us happy and I can’t believe anyone would disagree that the world needs more joy.

Your act of kindness can cost money, but it doesn’t have to.

So, on this one day, how about doing something kind?

Here are a few suggestions:

Buy the coffee or meal for the person behind you in the queue.

Pay a compliment to at least three people you see.

Send a positive text message to five people on your contact list.

Send a friend a bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates.

Offer free babysitting or dog walking to a friend or family member.

Donate to a charitable organisation.

Leave a pound in a supermarket trolley.

Buy a neighbour a gift card towards their shopping.

What else can you think of?

We would love to know your ideas.
