Epic Journey to Support Veterans

A sponsored walk in July from Bolton to Swansea – 240 miles – aims to raise awareness and support for veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The organisers say: “The initiative is dedicated to supporting the vital work of PTSD Camp Pembrokeshire, an organisation committed to helping former service members rebuild their lives.

“The walk is more than just a physical journey; it is a symbolic act of solidarity. Each step taken represents recognition of the unseen battles many veterans continue to fight long after their service ends. PTSD remains a significant challenge for countless individuals who have served their country, often affecting their mental health, relationships and daily lives.

“Broadcast live on platforms like TikTok and Facebook, the event invites people from all walks of life to follow along, engage and contribute.

“In association with The Late Night Veterans Show, the campaign brings together a community that understands the importance of connection and shared experience.

“At its core, this walk is about remembrance, respect and responsibility… honoring those who served and ensuring they are not forgotten once their uniforms are set aside. The message is clear: ‘Walking for those who walked for us.'”
