Rail passengers need to look out for disruption to services across the region as essential maintenance takes place through February and March
Transport for Wales (TfW) and Network Rail say that wherever possible they will minimise disruption by undertaking the work during evenings and weekends.
Pembrokeshire will see journeys to Pembroke Dock, Haverfordwest and Milford Haven affected but Colin Lea, planning and performance director at TfW, assures us that the work is essential and includes upgrades for the South Wales Metro.
Bus replacements will be in place and travellers are advised to check before travelling. The track near Haverfordwest and Milford Haven will see some disruption between Monday 26 February and Thursday 29 February, and buses will replace train services between Carmarthen and Milford Haven on 26-27 February between 9.25am and 2.35pm. The network advises that buses will also replace trains between Haverfordwest and Milford Haven during the same hours on 28-29 February.
We are also told that from Sunday 17 to Friday 23 March there will be work on the track near Pembroke and Pembroke Dock. Buses to and from these stations will start and end at Carmarthen.
