Pembrokeshire County Council’s Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant has distributed more than £4 million to parts of the county that have been adversely affected by second home ownership and it’s now time for community groups to apply for more grants.
This round of funding (2024/2025) has £700,000 sourced from the council’s second home council tax premium.
A pool of £300,000 is available for small grants up to £15,000; and larger grants of £100,000, up to a total of £400,000.
Particular attention will be given to projects that deal with learning and developing skills for the future, including Welsh language initiatives, and safeguard vulnerable individuals. Sustainability and creative living, with a commitment to addressing a nature emergency, are also priorities.
Smaller grants can be applied for all year round. Interest in larger grants must be submitted by 14 June, with applications completed by 12 July.
