Natural Burial Ground Success

Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground has been shortlisted as a finalist for Best Burial Ground of the Year in the Association of Green Funeral Directors’ Good Funeral Awards. The final judgment will be made on 14 September.
The Natural Burial Ground has also announced that Dan Hancock has been shortlisted as a finalist for Gravedigger of the Year, honouring his hard work and dedication. He puts great care into helping families not only with gravedigging but also pet burials and maintenance of the meadow.
The burial ground, beside the village of Keeston, off the St Davids road (A487) about halfway between Newgale and Haverfordwest, was opened in 2020 and Sarah Wickham, custodian and landowner, describes it as “a natural burial ground in the heart of Pembrokeshire where families can say goodbye their way”.
