Surfers Against Sewage, a national marine conservation and campaigning charity, is organising a challenge to take a dip in cold water every day in October.

A Dip A Day is part of its fundraising campaign and also aims to help raise awareness about water pollution.

It says: “Dip a Day brings together ocean activists and water lovers from across the UK, dipping every day in cold water throughout October, to raise vital funds to help protect the wild blue spaces we love.

“From water-filled whisky barrels to highland lochs, lidos to lakes, bathtubs to cold showers, rivers to sea, you can get involved in this challenge by dipping in whatever cold water is safe and accessible you.”
