The Roof Stuff
Theatr Gwaun is closed until 13 January for essential maintenance. After that, its programme includes the following performance:
Slated – How We Helped to Roof the World features stories of the Pembrokeshire slate industry, starting over 500 million years ago and ending within living memory.
The speaker, Emyr Phillips, draws on the experiences of family members who worked at Gilfach Quarry, near Llangolman.
He will also discuss the importance of the quarries in the Teifi gorge and the significance of the railways, particularly in relation to Rosebush quarry.
