Bringing Life Back to Fishguard Square

Fishguard folks are springing into action to revitalise the town.

Many local people remember the area around the square as a thriving, well-used public space. Back in the 1970s, they recall it as “a natural gathering place – a social, civic, and economic hub for Fishguard”.

They say that modern changes to the road and pavement have eroded the way the square used to be and have turned it into a thoroughfare rather than the vibrant space it once was..

The group want to return the area to a place where people can meet again.

A Facebook page (Friends of Fishguard Square) has been set up and plans are underway to consult on what people would like to see for the future.

If you would you like to be involved, go to the Facebook page and register your interest:.https://www.facebook.com/groups/686399764107516

We hope to post updates here in the near future.
