Water Worlds

This weekend is the last chance to see striking paintings by Charlotte Cortazzi at Oriel y Parc, St Davids. The Elemental exhibition brings together pictures of Pembrokeshire mixed with those of more exotic places. See of you can identify which are which. The unifying element here is water.

Charlotte says: “This collection has been inspired by the elements and the contrasts between Pembrokeshire and more arid Mediterranean and desert environments. I have always been drawn to the sea and the different lights at different times of day, and the paintings are an exploration of my relationship with water.”

Continuing the water theme, the exhibition includes some of Charlotte’s prints and linocuts inspired by the poetry of Sue Kullai.
Sue says: “A writing course in the Sahara in 2024 was the inspiration for poems about the elements: especially the contrast between the desert and our wild wet Wales.”
Elemental is at Oriel y Parc until 15 June.
