The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, a registered charity, is responsible for the Pembrokeshire groups, but it also boasts 300 other groups in more than 50 countries.
We are told that the Pembrokeshire groups are sociable, relaxed occasions, where the emphasis is on enjoying oneself over high performance.
Country dancing is hailed as gentle exercise and groups can be found in Haverfordwest, Houghton and Robeston Wathen, where we are assured newcomers will be warmly welcomed with the initial bonus of a free trial
