Breaking Out of the Gallery
Have you seen the artwork going up around Haverfordwest as part of the latest Breaking Out of the Gallery? It’s an event that, although interrupted by covid, is back for us to enjoy in 2021…

The Artwork Street Tour hosted by the organisers is a tour of the exhibition and will take place on 14 August, starting at Swan Square next to Todaro’s/The Welsh Bakery. Anyone wanting to attend should turn up at at 3.45pm ready for a pm start, the tour is expected to last around two hours.
Usually the tour is part of a bigger event to open the exhibition but covid restrictions have meant a bigger event is not possible at the moment. However Arthur Brooker, managing director of the project, is thrilled that things have eased off enough for the tour to be possible. He has asked that artists come along to say something about their work too – which would be most interesting.

The Facebook event can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/189857903121717/?ref=newsfeed.
Please invite anyone who you think may be interested and give it a share
In addition Artist Talks will take place in the week leading up to the exhibition.

The Exhibition Closing Party is planned for 18 September at Haverhub where the art work will be sold. This is also a great opportunity to meet other local artists as well as having an enjoyable evening.

Breaking Out of the Gallery is also still on the look out for musical acts/poets to preform on the night. It says it is looking for a a chilled out vibe, and asks that if you know of any acoustic acts or DJs/producers who specialise in ambient music who would be interested in coming to perform, please get in touch.

Apologies to the artists we haven’t had space to mention here. Fortunately there is plenty more to see on the streets of Haverfordwest this summer, 2021.
