Tenby’s New Tiger Receives Visitors

It might seem odd that we are reporting on Sumatran tigers in Pembrokeshire.Online… but the first cub to be born in Wales was at Manor Wildlife Park, near Tenby.
Zaza was born in May to mum Terima and she is now venturing out into her enclosure and enchanting visitors.
This is wonderful news, not just for us in Pembrokeshire but for the world, in which only around 600 of these creatures are left in the wild. Living deep in the Sumatran jungles and camouflaged by their narrow stripes (narrower apparently than any other tiger species), they are in great danger of becoming extinct like their near relatives the Javan and Balinese tigers.
Zaza brings hope that her kind will not disappear from the planet altogether.
