Llys y Frân visitor centre has created a flourishing wildflower meadow. It was planted two years ago using seeds from the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and is said to have been instrumental in improving biodiversity.
A reduction in grass species along with an increase in all that attracts pollinators and birds is proving a great success in the meadow. It is just one of the projects that has benefitted from the £3 million from Dŵr Cymru/Welsh Water’s Environment Fund across Wales.
Following these successes, Dŵr Cymru is inviting environmental projects across the whole of Wales to get involved in boosting nature by apply for funding.
