Parent and Baby Walking Groups

Gall rhieni yn Sir Benfro sy’n chwilio am gyfleoedd i fentro i’r awyr agored gyda’u plant, a hynny mewn awyrgylch cyfeillgar a chefnogol ymuno â grwpiau cerdded wythnosol rhad ac am ddim yn Aberllydan a Phenfro.

Mae’r grwpiau cerdded hyn, sydd wedi eu trefnu gan Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro, yn darparu awyrgylch hamddenol a chroesawgar i rieni, ac yn rhoi cyfle iddynt gwrdd â rhieni eraill, gwerthfawrogi harddwch yr ardal leol a gweld bywyd gwyllt; y cyfan wrth wneud ychydig o ymarfer corff.

Bydd grŵp cerdded Aberllydan yn cwrdd ym maes parcio’r Awdurdod, y tu allan i YHA Aberllydan, bob dydd Llun am 10am, a bydd grŵp Penfro yn cwrdd ym maes parcio y Comin, Penfro, y tu allan i Pembroke Carvery, bob dydd Gwener am 10am.  Bydd y ddwy daith yn dechrau am 10:15am, ac maent yn rhad ac am ddim.  Mae’r teithiau yn addas ar gyfer pramiau, ac felly’n berffaith ar gyfer rhieni newydd, darpar rieni, a rhieni plant bach.

Bydd pob taith yn para rhwng 45 a 60 munud, a bydd cyfleusterau newid babanod a chaffis lleol ar gael i brynu diod neu fwyd ynddynt cyn neu ar ôl y daith.

Yn ystod y daith, bydd cyfle i rieni gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau sy’n addas i oedran eu plant, a bydd pawb yn siŵr o elwa o gael bod yn yr awyr iach, symud eu corff, a chael cefnogaeth pobl debyg i chi.

Mae Amber Manning, cydlynydd Get Outdoors, a threfnydd y grwpiau cerdded yn annog rhieni i gymryd rhan, a phrofi manteision cwrdd ag eraill ym myd natur. Dywedodd hi: “Mae’r teithiau cerdded hyn yn gyfle gwych i rieni adael y tŷ, cymdeithasu, a mwynhau awyr iach Sir Benfro gyda’u plant. Os ydych chi eisiau cwrdd â phobl newydd, cael mwy o awyr iach, neu fwynhau taith gerdded hamddenol, ymunwch â ni. Mae croeso i bawb.”

Parents in Pembrokeshire looking for a friendly and supportive way to get outdoors with their little ones can now join free weekly walking groups in Broad Haven and Pembroke.

Organised by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, these walks provide a relaxed and welcoming environment, offering a chance to connect with other parents while enjoying gentle exercise, spotting wildlife along the way, and taking in the beauty of the local area.

The Broad Haven walks take place every Monday at 10am, starting from the Park Authority’s car park outside the YHA in Broad Haven, while the Pembroke group meets every Friday at 10am at Pembroke Commons car park, opposite the Pembroke Carvery. Both walks begin at 10.15am and are free to attend. They are pram-friendly, making them ideal for new parents, parents-to-be, and those with toddlers.

Each walk lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, with nearby baby-changing facilities and local cafés available for refreshments before or after the stroll.

Along the way, parents can take part in fun, age-appropriate activities with their little ones while benefiting from fresh air, gentle movement, and the support of a like-minded community.

Get Outdoors coordinator Amber Manning, organiser of the walking groups, encourages parents to come along and experience the benefits of connecting with others in a natural setting and says: “These walks are a fantastic way for parents to get outside, socialise and enjoy Pembrokeshire with your children. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, get some fresh air or simply enjoy a relaxed walk, everyone is welcome.”
