As representatives of communities and organisations held a vigil outside the council offices, some attended in the public gallery.
While there was majority support among councillors for matters to be deferred to the working group already set up to look at Zero Carbon planning, something that was expected, the WWCC was disappointed in the inability of the council to decide to reaffirm its declaration of a Climate Emergency. It says it is also “concerned about the composition of the working group. But we let our views be known, and will continue to monitor events.”
