A Win from Theatr Gwaun

In the blur between the old year ending and the new year dawning, I forgot to tell you all about winning a £10 voucher from Theatr Gwaun in its quarterly draw.

We are so lucky to have Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard, but it’s not luck that keeps it providing the variety of entertainment and social space it continues to do.

Did you know that from as little as £15 per year, you can choose a theatre seat that has an allocated number? Each one of those seats is entered into a quarterly draw. Winners will receive either a cash prize or a Theatr Gwaun gift voucher.

Yours truly won the voucher in the last draw.

The money raised is split between the technology improvement programme, which supports investment in the theatre’s sound and lighting systems, and prizes in the form of cash and vouchers.

To enter, all you have to do is choose a seat number from its virtual auditorium and visit the box office or call 01348 873421.

Wondering what I have spent my voucher on? If you  know me, you will have heard about my back issues and stairlift issues and know that unfortunately I still cannot get out of the house. The voucher is actually valid for a whole year but I decided that, rather than hold on to it and risk losing it in my inefficient filing system, I would offer it as a gift to someone I knew would really  appreciate it. Win, win, I think.

Of course this isn’t the only way to support Fishguard’s fine theatre/cinema.Visit the theatre’s website for what’s on, including art exhibitions, theatre and cinema, Martha’s Cafe and local events.
