POINT Looks to Future
POINT, the youth drop-in centre based in Fishguard, launched A New Chapter, “an inspiring evening that brought together local businesses, partners and supporters who care about the future of young people in North Pembrokeshire”.
The event involved a number of supporters who participated in the agenda of the night which included, looking ahead, sharing vision, challenges, and the role community can play in helping the charity in its support of the next generation.
The charity praised members of its Youth Forum, who prepared and served refreshments on the night.
It said: “You represented POINT brilliantly – professional, welcoming, and a real credit to yourselves.”
It said it was honoured to be joined by Nigel Owens “who spoke so powerfully about the importance of young people having safe spaces for support, connection and recreation – especially in rural areas like Pembrokeshire and across Wales. Your words truly resonated with everyone in the room.”
Those who attended and showed support included Pure West Radio, Stena Line, @Bluestone, Tregroes Caravan, Camping & Glamping Site, Freemasons’ Lodge, and Pei Fishguard.
POINT added: “As we move forward into this new chapter, we are actively looking to build partnerships with local businesses and individuals who want to make a real difference.
